Snow Damage

I looked out of one of the study windows at home this morning to discover the damage that the accumulated weight of snow had done to some of the trees on the bank.

I spent an hour or so outside in the snow this lunchtime doing a minor cleanup job, concentrating my attention on broken branches that were now putting pressure on other trees and shrubs in the garden.

I'm planning to ask one of our neighbours - who trained as a forester before moving on to Web Design! - about the larger-scale arboricultural aspects of the situation. Perhaps he'd like the hardwood logs for his stove in exchange for a bit of work with a chainsaw...
