At the end of each year...

... it's tradition to do my best of the year compilation CD. All my favourite music gets burnt onto one disc, with the condition that a) I loved it when it was released and b) I still don't get bored of hearing it. So for your listening pleasure, and for what it's worth, this is this year's pop picks:

Fans - Kings Of Leon - best track on their album by far

Stop Me - Mark Ronson - impossible not to hum

Hands Held High - Linkin Park - strong words, nothing like their usual stuff

Smokers Outside the Hospital Doors - Editors - the song of our US holiday this year

Torn On the Platform - Jack Penate - skiffletastic!

Best Not To Think About It - Athlete - lovely song, underrated band

I Shall Overcome - Hard-Fi - more great pop from the Staines massiv

Keep the Car Running - Arcade Fire - awesome

Heart Attack - Low vs Diamond - best new US band around

Machines - Biffy Clyro - beautiful

Fear Of Sleep - The Magic Numbers - more magic from the Numbers

What Will You Do (When the Money Goes)? - Milburn - solid indie pop

Bleeding Love - Leona Lewis - you can't deny this is a bit of class

Love Made Visible - The Delays - sooo catchy

Rockferry - Duffy - 2008 is hers to own

This will live in the car for the next week or so!
