tempus fugit

Clouds on the horizon

I get up to feed the cats first thing, before I'm dressed, and if it's a fine morning I put on a coat and let the birds out too (they have to wait if it's raining.)

When I did this today the sun was just rising over the skyline as a trail of fluffy clouds, like dollops of whipped cream, was travelling at speed west to east across it.

Just as the trees look beautiful even without their foliage, so the perfection of a clear sky can be enhanced by the presence of clouds. I am glad to know that there is a Cloud Appreciation Society whose manifesto pledges to fight blue-sky thinking wherever it exists!
