Thursday 9 December 2010: Victoria Bay

This is a previous view, perhaps the popular one.

From this side, looking toward the single row of houses and the bay, it really gives an impression of how small the beach and bathing area of bay is.

Extending to the left are a few more houses, but other than that, the caravan park and camping area, there is really not too much accommodation available. Which I think is a good thing.

As for day visitors, there is not too much parking available - a fact which also help to curb the influx of too many people ..

I loved when the beach area seemed 'un-occupied' for a moment and blipped away.

But in fact the beach area higher up was already teeming with people: youngsters who had just finished their school careers; quite a few Seven's players occupied the small pub-restaurant and later on made themselves more comfortable on the beach and in the water; there was even a whole class (about thirty) of pre-schoolers with the kindergarden teachers .... all happy, relaxed and very playful.
