First heavy frost

It was the coldest night in London so far this year. There was low mist and frost in Brockwell Park - I love crisp, cold mornings like this (as long as I'm wrapped up!)

We had the Disintegration Party at work. The 'goers' as they called themselves (with much laughter) and the 'stayers' had a great time. The big meeting room was decorated with Christmas stuff, and we had mulled wine and hot chocolate with Baileys, marshmallows and skooshy cream. Marvellous! This was (in our eyes) our proper Christmas party, with the whole company together for the last time before the 'goers' (those made redundant) head off. Both 'goers' and 'stayers' made speeches, and we all had a sense of a family being broken apart. There are enough 'stayers' to keep the company spirit going and we've promised the 'goers' that we'll do just that.
