Friday 17 December 2010: Prune Park Lane

This is a view from Prune Park Lane as I walked home tonight. I've often wondered at the derivation of the name as there are no prunes or a park to be seen.

It's been a bitter day today so I am glad the bus finally rolled along as I was beginning to freeze despite my walking boots, thermal underwear and goretex gloves. It's good to be tucked up on a Friday night with Tony swishing a spag bol round the frying pan next door and the prospect of two bars of Green & Black's 85% (apparently they were on offer and I have to keep one till next week - ha!) plus a very nice bottle of red waiting till after bath time.

I mentioned my class hamper several times earlier in the week but didn't blip it as Chaplins took precedence, so here is Scary Santa!
