Saturday 18 December 2010: That peace, that quietness
Woke up to a lot of snow here, and like idiots, tried to go out in the car to reach the farmers' market ... turned back very quickly realising this was something only fools would attempt.
Parked back at home and walked to the High Street, in the muffled dead silence of snow. So beautiful when there are so few cars and lots of people out smiling and cheerful in the thickly and rapidly falling snow.
By the time we got home it was up to a good 20cm, and I was doubly glad at our car sense.
