Monday 20 December 2010: Books and Camera Lenses
If you had said to me back in 1984 when I was a student at Emerson College, "Bethanne, in 2010, one of your most treasured books is Textbook of Nutritional Medicine and you dream of owning Kent's Repertory." No! Really? I was a student of writing and literature back then and the most important books to me were that of ex-patriots living in Paris in the 1920s. But now alternative medicine books overflow from my home.
I discovered this past weekend that Amazon.com has trade ins on some books. Since I had been meaning to do a book culling (there are hundreds in the house - literally) it occurred to me that I could do the trade ins on the books I was planning on culling anyway and put the money towards a 300mm lens. Well - I am almost there in doing a complete trade - books and DVDs for a lens. Seems fair to me!
Can't talk now - have to run five large boxes to the post office for the trade in. Can't wait to get my credit and order the new addition to my collection!
