Sunday 26 December 2010: Surfing with Dolphins
I so wish this was me!. This is not my best shot of the day by a long stretch ( I took 387 shots!) We saw penguins close up, a young shag sat patiently while we photographed it. We saw a petrified forest and I got some cool shots with the wide angle of my new lens but this for me sums up my day. We were in Porpoise Bay this afternoon for an icecream after watching two yellow eyed penguins for an hour. There were people in the sea and swimming around them, literally were a pod of dolphins. This surfer was surrounded on and off and was so mesmerised by the dolphins he did little in the way of surfing. My ferverent wish was that it was me.
