tempus fugit

The little dinghy, drawn up on the sea wall beside matching bollards, dominates the foreground. Beyond is the red funnel of  the vast Stena Line ferry, tied up in Goodwick harbour for a Boxing Day-off from its usual two crossings to Rosslare.

The breakwater stretches across the harbour seeming almost to meet the distant point of Dinas Head which is in reality four miles away.

It was a raw and cheerless day despite some signs of thaw. A few curlews and some other waders along with a flock of oyster catchers were trying their luck on the shore.
