Tuesday 28 December 2010: Essay
Working on my essay for college today - "Discuss the semiotic concept of myth as a manipulative device with reference to Marshall McLuhan's ideas about long-term changes in society driven by media" - phew! Still reading and taking notes at the moment, but liking the idea of ideological 'myths' on both sides of the debate. And want to bring it bang up to date with some discussion of the police van in Whitehall.
