Around the Block

Copan Building, Sao Paulo, Brazil

I mentioned the Copan Building a few weeks ago in a Barcelona blip without knowing I would be in front of it so soon! Designed by Oscar Niemeyer, it has the largest floor area of any residential building in the world with 1160 apartments, 5,000 residents and its very own postcode!

Designed to look like a waving Sao Paulo flag, it really is an impressive place with a whole world happening inside; think the Chelsea Hotel, NYC cubed! We once danced the night away in a party in one of its flats!

Digitaldaze has a shot here that puts the buidling in context; two for the price of one, so to speak. She is presently separated from her camera body as it is getting its sensor cleaned for the last part of our trip.

PS The framing is straight out the camera.

PPS BW version here in my Blipfolio as suggested by walkingMarj, below.

Back Note:
This was probably the day we had the tax office appointment in the centre for our CPFs! What a nail biting encounter that all went of smoothly. We then had to get still more papers signed at a notary’s office, near the cathedral.
