Fossils and Fairies

This is our biannual get together with some of our closest friends the McMahons.
Mrs Wild has known Catherine since 6th form and was bridesmaid at our wedding and was instrumental in match making Catherine and Michael nearly 20 years ago.
They used to be great outdoor types but for some reason gave up when their kids came along. The Wilds never gave up the outdoor life for any kids they just came along too. Anyway they have started to get back walking and took us from the village of Downham ('Whistle Down the Wind' film fame)on a 6 miler around some of the Limestone reef knolls around Clitheroe and to the old packhorse bridge near Sawley named the Fairies bridge. Even though I know the paths around here fairly well I have never been here before.

Good to catch up and have a laugh. It's our turn in the Spring next year as mine host.
