American style...

It's more of a U.S. thing I suspect. The breakfast meeting!

Hogmanay and beginning with a meeting with George and Tom, over a healthy plate of delicacies It's not an unsubstantial meeting either. There will be things to be thought about by many thousands of people, and questions about future deployment of professional resources. So this is just one of a long series of similar discussions. But today is the last of the year - so it seemed like a good idea to risk our arteries.

So - with no translation offered - a Guid New Year frae Scotland.

A guid new year to ane an' a'
An' mony may ye see,
An' during a' the years to come,
O happy may ye be.
An' may ye ne'er hae cause to mourn,
To sigh or shed a tear;
To ane an'a baith great an' sma'
A hearty guid New year.
