Thursday 17 August 2006: Auld grey toun
Returned to the car today to find a post-it note stuck on the passenger-side window, reading "why not try to park a bit closer next time!".
All jaunty like.
Well blow me down. If only the author of this devastatingly pithy riposte could have questioned for a moment the reasons why I might have parked in such a manner. Say for example there were no other available spaces in the carpark and a certain note-leaving scummer in a white Corsa had kept inside their own wee parking space, instead of broadsiding their raggedy arse halfway across two.
Moral: park your car like a particularly undisciplined viking longboat out on a pillage? - prepare to enjoy that undignified clamber o'er the gearstick from time to time.
