New Year's Eve, Fishguard

Early afternoon and the stage is set - literally - for the New Year's Eve celebrations for which Fishguard has been renowned since 1999. Several pubs open onto the Square, which is closed to traffic for the evening and makes a perfect venue for the whole community to come together. Local bands play, and the night culminates in a firework display. (The metal Christmas tree looks marginally better when illuminated.)
