original choice total cuteness!
How better to start the brand new year than with a new lens and children sledding down the melting snowy hill at Green Mountain College!
After figuring out how to make my old, small camera bag work with the new 70-300mm lens attached to the D90, I headed out on this very gray, overcast day to the farm at Green Mountain College. It was a bit of a challenge readjusting my thinking of shooting to my new lens.
I did get a few unusable shots up the pigs' noses and chicken chests! But as I was shooting by the six new pigs, I heard laughter and screams of delight coming from behind the greenhouses. I stepped carefully around all the melting ice (it is quite warm out today!) and found a young couple and their two lovely girls sledding down a hill, taking advantage of the last of the snow before it all melts away today.
They were very kind in letting me shoot. This little one was quite the camera princess. Every time she stopped at the bottom of the hill she would look right at the camera and smile! Gotta love her! Loved her so much that I had to choose among 36 shots of her! But this close up won the Blip day. Wish it had been sunnier but the fun hat makes up for that.
India wishes all a happy Newf year. Hope to catch up on commenting today - will give it the good college try anyway!
