Saturday 1 January 2011: One day/Day one ...
... done and dusted :)
We celebrated the end of what we hope/aim for was our worst year ever with drinks at a friend's house, and were home before the beginning of the new year. Nice and quiet.
Today we visited a friend, and drove around for a Blip. Because the last few days have been so warm (F50s/10C, we have no snow left whatsoever) I wasn't prepared, or dressed rather, for the cold that hit us today. Windchill: 12F/-11C. I didn't even have gloves! Gah! So, while what I really wanted was to sit somewhere and wait for a bird to get in range of the new lens, what I ended up with was a REAL hasty retreat back to the car after a mighty quick dash to the pond, and chills ever since.
Next up: a warm shower and a champagne-filled evening. Oh yeah :)
