Ice road walkers

The traditional new year walk was a bit of a struggle.
The assembled group of family and friends set off with a spring in their step, which soon was reduced for a slither.
After an hour and a half struggle to climb and get some distance into the planed walk, it became apparent that the ice had beaten us and we turned back.

None of us were displeased by that stage, as we would never have made it to the end in daylight and sense did prevail. We still all enjoyed our outward-bound experience and found muscles long rested over the festive season.

We regrouped at big bro's and pulled together to enjoy a lovely meal.

A lovely tradition, just a bit different to the good ole days.
