While on my runs

Summer is here

Our son and his family returned to Sydney yesterday, after spending two weeks with us at the beach house. It was our chance to have lots of time with the grandchildren, which was fantastic and we had lots of happy times. Their departure yesterday meant that this morning there were no noises off to wake us earlier than we would do so otherwise, and I was therefore a bit later in heading out on the morning run.

Maybe it was the later time. Perhaps it is that after New Year, there are more holiday makers here than before. It could have been that the tide was high, and the beach very attractive. Most likely the brilliant sunshine from a cloudless blue sky brought out so many on to the beach early on a Sunday morning.

I was taken by this group of women, who looked like three (perhaps four) generations, walking their dogs along the beach, which is narrow and sandy at this tide, rather than wide and muddy as it has been for many of my recent runs. The young man on the paddle board, was having a great time on the almost flat sea.

Minor cropping, and an increase in contrast. The latter to ensure anonymity.
