Sunday 2 January 2011: Running bear
A curious piece of serendipity! Took dog for short coastal walk on uninspiring dull, damp day. Was drawn to investigate a freshwater spring marked by a patch of vivid green Water Starwort which made a striking contrast to the surrounding khaki and rust of dead grass and bracken. Looking down where the shallow stream trickled under the weed, what I noticed was that the conformation of these stones suggested the image of a bear in flight: the muzzle with protruding tongue facing left along with a green eye and parts of the chest and striding feet - does anyone else see it?
