Sunday 2 January 2011: Flurries!
Snow! OK, just one little shower. A day for visiting relatives and receiving the traditional hospitality. And Sellick gubbed the bears! Actually, I didn't watch any of it - though I did hear some of it as I re-tuned the presets on Mum's DAB radio. It has the nifty facility of tuning to any preset when you hold down a button for longer than 2 seconds - which she routinely does, of course. So, Radio Clyde was in place of Radio Scotland - how very bloody low-brow!
Back to my Observer. They're tipping the 'F7' (Future 7) countries (Turkey, Vietnam etc etc) as places to invest in. Ah hae ma doots - it all looks a bit too predictable. Once the Ivory Coast settles down a bit, it'll have a lot going for it. The tourist infrastructure in particular looks like a sound bet. Who's in? Send those readies over to the pensioner - you won't be disappointed!
