Sunday 2 January 2011: Muscle Sprouts

Forget your big Glasgow derby football match, this was the sporting event of the day round this way. It was also the most energetic thing I did all day, apart from driving in to town to collect a take away dinner. Energy levels are totally ridiculous just now, needing a holiday to get over the holiday.

Anyhow, in the big Christmas Pud versus Sprout battle it was an easy victory for the guys in green (just like the football as it turned out). They seem to have put in a bit more training than the top heavy puddings and their relentlessly bouncy attacks notched up an impressive 7 wins out of 7 matches. Still, the puddings took the drubbing in good spirits and kept smiling throughout (judging by their big red noses I think they may have been hitting the brandy a bit before the match too).

Back to a bit of normality tomorrow hopefully; decorations down and packed away and try to get a bit of routine back (including being able to remember what day of the week it actually is) before we all return to work and school on Wednesday.
