Sunday 2 January 2011: Ice skateing in Plean

Today Uncle Jonny left to go back to Edinburgh, and left his wallet, a T shirt and his used cooking oil (!) only proving even further to Matt that he is definitely a 'leaver' and not a 'puter'

We left to go to church and Bob was dismayed to find his car seat had been exchanged for a pink one resulting in the disgusted comment 'This is a girls car seat!!' apparently the car seat exchange between various cars had been conducted in the dark.

After church we came back for lunch and then set off to remedy the car seat situation as the Aberdeen contingent had been staying close by the previous night. We then went on to Plean where we went for a freezing walk. We had been informed there were lots of paths so it was great for bikes, we opted for the trike and then realised that every level surface, path or otherwise, had about 3 inches of solid ice on it. It made for an interesting walk... or rather skate!!

This is Bob riding the trike with Ali hitching a lift. We then went on for a lovely tea courtesy of Ros again. How she has managed to do posh catering for us and then puddings on NY day and then tea for us all, while she has three children I really don't know!!

So tonight we brace ourselves for the journey home tomorrow and the thought of returning to work and all those awful jobs I put off from before the break :-(
