Long Ago & Sorta Far Away

This is a page from the 1961 Annual Report of the Pasadena Police Department in California. I grew up in Pasadena - on the Rose Parade route in fact - and myself worked for the Pasadena Police Department back in the 1970s (far enough back as it is!) My father worked there as well, including when this report was published.

The department has finally moved into a new building, and has gone back to proper black and white police cars after many decades of the "friendlier" and far more boring (though cheaper to purchase and maintain) all-white cars.
