Monday 3 January 2011: Courage

The big event - a pint for Dutch Courage (above) before I made my way to somewhere called the Faith Mission up at Gilmerton. We were gathered there for Mr A's surprise 51st birthday (he'd missed his 50th as he was in intensive care with swine flu). He'd been told that he was on his way to a Subbuteo tournament so the look on his face when he was ushered through the doors to be confronted by a hundred or so party guests ... well ... disappointment, obviously!
Anyway, Herr Heinz and I did our party piece before supping tea for a couple of hours - a teetotal party! A short visit to Cloisters afterwards with some chaps and two lovelies and it was like New Year wasn't quite over yet. Soon...
