Tuesday 4 January 2011: THE MONARCH
I have a ladder set up beside the Budlea tree and I check it out throughout the day for three main varieties we get visiting us, the monarch the yellow and red Admirals. I didnt need to scale the ladder on this occassion and hand-held with my 70-200 from the safety (almost) of a sometimes moving Christchurch Ground.
the reason for the high key effect is that after yesterdays 32deg scorcher we have an overcast coolish day - I like the cloud cover effect. ( in case you thought I did a bit of jiggery-pockery on the Compie !
Well I was reasonably happy with this result which meant I could get back to blobbing in front of the Tennis. ( ASB-Auckland womans classic.)
