Knoydart New Year #5

Images from an idyllic week in the Knoydart peninsula with 14 friends, old (or should I say deep?) and newer (but definitely not shallower!)...

Toby looks small infront of the mountains at the end of Loch Quoich. It really shows us our place in the world.

As a climber and a hillwalker, I often wonder what I like about each.

When it comes to climbing - or at least the kind I do - the creativity is personal. You see an ordinary face of rock, and you imagine a route to scale it. Then it is up to you to make it happen.

When it comes to the hills, the creativity is inate. You see the awesomeness of it all and you are lured by the creation that already is. The mountains do call.
