Protest

Our bus stopped for quite a while at a busy intersection today on the way home during rush hour. Looking out the window, we saw alot of people gathering in the middle of the street (never a good sign) and thought maybe someone got hit by a bus. The bus driver let us out and as we walked by the crowd, there were a string of migrant workers holding up a banner (it was too crowded to make out anything). After walking away and getting a better look on the sidewalk, we heard that these workers haven't gotten paid! Never come between people and their hard earned cash! This discreet picture was taken just after the police arrived, trying to fix the problem. Not sure what ended up happening, but the police did take the banner away and walked off with some of those workers... Scary but I'm happy to say that nobody was hurt during this!
