Wednesday 5 January 2011: Thawing ..
.. before the next big freeze. Another grey, dismal day but we found a brief window in the weather when the drizzle stopped and went to stretch our legs at the reservoir. It was frozen solid on Monday but has started to thaw. It is covered by a thin layer of ice. Still cold and more snow on the way apparently. The tree on the far side has maintained the Autumnal hue despite the awful weather and the grass looks quite verdant now the snow has melted.
