Wednesday 5 January 2011: Rear Windows
The first film of 2011 up at the Cameo (that's the back of it, above) - 127 Hours - the new Danny Boyle movie. Thought the music was a bit strangely inappropriate at times (odd for Mr Boyle, I'd say) and his hero's ride into the wild at the start seemed unreal without adding anything dramatic but after that it was pretty compelling. As Mr N said afterwards, good 'armless fun, eh?
That was while we were supping a gorgeous pint of Porter followed by an even more superb pint of Trade Winds at Cloisters. Home via the Diggers to see the drouthy crew and then to check my emails. Thon Instography noo seems to have settled on my gaff as the inaugural venue for an evening of sausage rolls and booze! I better get home from work that night.
