Thursday 6 January 2011: Rakia Gorge
We made a snap decision at 8am this morning that we would go to ChCh to visit my sister-in-law (Doug's sister) who is very ill with cancer,
We came home via the inland route and I took this picture looking up into the Rakia Gorge, last week this river was a raging torrent with bank to bank water, the colour of the water is usually a lovely teal blue shade.
A very murky hazy day, so have perked it up a bit with colour and contrast.
We are just home, feeling drained and tired.
