Rooooar!

I love the fact that, even though there are piles of presents lying around the house, some of the most popular toys are the cheap and cheerful stocking fillers.

Take the dinosaur eggs. They look like plastic hens' eggs, but when you put them in water, an expanding toy inside cracks the shell and grows into a mighty dinosaur. Well, that's the theory anyway. 48 hours from when we put them in their bowls, ours are looking a bit half-hearted.

For me, the best bit was the safety warning on the side of the eggs: Do Not Swallow.
