Away
Grey battleship wind dragged cloud
Slow scuds relentless across the horizontal
Croak throated Gulls call come away, away
Carve North east and flounce effortless dives
As sun shards cut the swathe and sway
Torchlights fast sweep black sod Fen soil
Break sharp gaps with glance and ricochet
From pinched and ruffled, heavy muddied water
As January's wind pushes past fast today
About all thought and dream hard shoves
Toward snug snowy warmth and you there far away.
