Sunday 9 January 2011: Tree #2
This was crazy baltic expedition two for this w/e.
We went for a walk up beamsley beacon, a big hill between Ilkley and Harrogate which is a trig point and has fantastic views. Near the bottom I spotted this tree with the sun behind it so had to get my camera out. But half way through the process of getting my gloves off and getting my camera out a couple of yappy dogs came barrelling towards me, which Sam took great exception to, so I didn't have any time to check whether I'd got it properly or re-take it, hence it is a little on the blurry side. However I still think it is worth uploading. the shots I took on the rest of the walk although technically better, were not as good a composition.
Amazingly it was a really successful trip. No one complained of coldness (Ali was wearing his new hand me down insulated boots which probably made a significant difference) and both boys made it to the top with the minimum of help. We have great hopes of being able to get up more hills and mountains now as a family:-)
