Marbling

ooof, the shock of getting up in the pitch black and hearing the rain and wind lashing outside, not good. Still the children, at least the smalls, were delighted to be back - funny how the enthusiasm wears off as you get older.

Too wet and too dark to even contemplate taking an outdoor blip so it's had to be this - Jupiter's great spot? Earth from space?; weird close up of strange cells? Nope, a detail of Saoirse's marbling, done last term and finally dried. Only three colours were allowed and it's amazing how everyone's came out completely differently - success lies in being restrained with the amount of ink you squirt!

Other than that I have to confess we are now addicted to True Blood - given to himself by son number 1 at Christmas. Son number 1 has been a bit concerned for after giving it to us, without seeing it, a friend told him it had copious amounts of sex and violence. It does, but we're coping!! And it's about vampires but actually it's very well made, and the age old story of good versus evil but you're not entirely sure who are the goodies and who are the baddies - and it has feminism and anti-racism thrown in as well! A heady brew but very well done, and brilliant opening titles.
