Monday 10 January 2011: The giant mechanic at work...
318/365: ... otherwise known as 'one of those kits they say a child can do... but in reality needs a small army of experts to sort it out, precision engineered tools... and glue. Lots and lots of glue'. Which Felix over-enthusiastically charged into making and Nick, brave man that he is, ended up being found using pliers to fix with a very confused expression plus glasses perched on his nose, swearing under his breath.
Unfortunately, that doesn't explain why this is a bit of a crappy shot, but I'm back at work and back in 'snatch a shot when the light is rubbish' land. So, this will have to do. Oh, and if you're interested, it's a car they're making from a kit. Which will probably stay made for about an hour until Felix decides to take it to pieces. Which will then drive Nick just a leeeeeeee-e-e-ettle bit crazy. :o)
And before I forget - I obviously got some people really paranoid about my blip comments from yesterday's entry. Whoopsie! Sorry! Plus, I've now got myself paranoid because my shots are sometimes kinda poopy (a la today's noisy, blurry effort)... and people will be brutally honest with me and then i'll cry a bit... and... oh... the hole I've dug for myself. Aaargh!!
So, I suggest we all ignore that I ever said anything and all live in blissful ignorance. Deal? Super!
Okay. Back at work today. Hmmmm... Not masses o' fun. But at least I got to walk Maddy Moo to school and listen to her insane ramblings for 40 minutes (including 'I like staying at home because that's where the fairies live') while we walked. Which complemented this little slice of Felix joy first thing...
Felix: Are we going to get a car like the yellow car? The one we had our car seats in?
Me: *wracks brain*
Felix: The yellow one. With the seats.
Me: *lightbulb* Oh! I know! The courtesy car!!! The Ford Focus!
Felix: Yes. The Flawed Floater.
Me: *chuckles*
PS Two things twisted my brain at work today
PPS I can't say what either of them were, but trust me... sometimes all you can do is laugh.
PPPS And tear your hair out a bit.
PPPPS 73 days until I leave my current job. And counting.
