Tuesday 11 January 2011: Doing the Bilbie Walk
319/365: There's something a bit hypnotic about this view of Nottingham Trent University. The buildings themselves go over the top of 'Bilbie Walk', which I like just because of its name if nothing else. There's also something I kinda like about all the lines - horizontal and vertical and since today is a day made up entirely of lines - 11/1/11 - it fits the day too.
Plus, all my other shots were total duds. Sometimes the choice is easy. :o)
Oh, and when I say 'total duds'... here are some examples... A self portrait where I looked crazy. A shot of a sneaker on the stairs which was so dull that even thinking about it makes me yawn. And the final shot was of a lightbulb. Yes. I took a photo of a lightbulb. The barrel has been properly scraped.
Suppose it fits my day really because it has been pretty 'meh' generally. Meeting, walk to next meeting, meeting, be late for next meeting, meeting, grab lunch, meeting, leave. And zero time to do any work. Plus, I'm that lucky soul who gets volunteered to take on extra bits of work or project manage the unmanageable. Which, even though I'm saying 'but I'm leaving, so I don't think I should do this bit'... some how I end up being involved with anyway. Weirdness.
Trying to think if there's anything else to say. I have a sneaking suspicion that my head is now empty.
Got a truck load of work to do this evening too.
Being back at work turns out to be not much fun at all.
PS Felix has just told me he's had a brilliant day today.
PPS He's been at home with Nick
PPPS Nick looks like he's been run over by a truck.
PPPPS The three facts are connected. :o)
