Pentland view
A lot less snow near my old home town and a lovely view to the Pentland hills. Pity about the deadly black ice.
Back to -3C again after a slight thaw, so shiny roads again tonight.
The day described yesterday, started with a visit to the gym.
The Parental abode got me next and after a fruitless visit to the hearing aid clinic at the hospital, we managed a shopping trip so Dad could take some goodies home to Mum.
Managed to defrost and cook one of the Turkey breasts we bought on boxing day for pennies and then dashed out to The Events and fund raising committee (PTA) meeting to start the run up to the annual school talent competition......The K Factor!
This year there are 32 acts!. 23 turns last year was a long night, but they seem to enjoy it and we love giving the kids our support. It also brings in a tidy wee sum for the school coffers. It's the one night we have no problem getting help for.
But for bad backs, it's a killer.
