Evening's Light

The sunlight fell on the lake,
it left me to dream as I stood watching,

waiting

Passively attentive to the gentle ripples and the forging birds.
Thinking of what my life will be life when I am older, when I fall in love.

but for now, I am left to dream, as I stand watching,
