Wednesday 12 January 2011: Look...

320/365: Y'know, I wish I could take a proper self-portrait. Properly composed. Nicely executed. Where I didn't look a complete fool. But... I can't. Every so often I have a try, but the light is rotten whenever those moments arrive and also my family think I'm ridiculous as it is for taking photos of them and other stuff... let alone taking a shot of me... so... it never improves (plus, I don't get any more photogenic so the incentive isn't exactly there to record how I look!).

But, I'm also doing another 365 over on Flickr and the challenge this week is to take a self portrait. And I'm not one to shirk a challenge. So, this is my attempt. And this'll do for a fair old while! Nearly didn't blip my post-work, un-made-up face and blipped this instead. However, I am being brave and getting this blipped before I delete it. *puffs out chest bravely*

Actually, taking a self-portrait is on my 'list of stuff I wish I could do' which involves the following top five:

1. Take a self-portrait (evidence above *points*)
2. Sing (in my head it always sounds better than anything that comes out of my mouth)
3. Draw or paint (people would guess that a 5 year old had drawn stuff I produced)
4. Run (I run like the person who gets picked last on sports team and sweat like a horse)
5. Dance (being yelled out as being a 'fairy elephant' by my PE teacher when I was 14 put me off dancing completely!)

Well, that was an interesting little diversion, wasn't it (I can hear you say 'no', by the way... don't think I can't!)! Maybe number 6 would be 'stay on topic'. :o)

So... hmmm... what else? Poppy had her pre-op before she's spayed next week. Everything's okay, and hopefully all will go according to plan (even though I'm a total baby about it and am dreading seeing her in pain of any sort!).

Work was... workish. It ranged from the excruciating to the hysterical and at least that's finished for the day. Have got another stack of work to do this evening but my work head is about to be put to one side for a while.

That is it. Nothing else of any note took place today. At all. Zip. Nowt. Nada.

Today has officially been 'grey'.
