Totally Tropical

Stopped for a bit of ice skating on my lunchtime commute today. Didn't plan to ice skate, it just happened when I stepped out of the car here. Landed on the same knee I did on Saturday so there's some nice bruise on bruise action going on. Thankfully there was no-one else around and I didn't spill any of my soup-in-a-cup.

I think I may have been fooled by the appearance of tropical fruit and the 8 degrees C that the thermometer was reading when I arrived - the last time the temperature was up that high in the Stirling area was November 18th or thereabouts. There may be a lot of snow and ice around here today, but I'm pretty sure if I went back tomorrow the picture would look very different.

Felt a bit awkward getting caught unintentionally eavesdropping on a conversation between two women this evening, all woman's bits, implants, blood cells and lots of Les Dawson like mouthing of unmentionables. The older lady's parting comment, after she'd flicked me a look over her shoulder that indicated I was hampering their socialising, was, "I'll get a better chance to talk to you later hen, when there's...", head then flicked back towards me again and words mouthed along the lines of "...less people about". The younger girl then asked me if I had a Co-op dividend card and if I wanted a bag for my stuffed peppadew peppers and Lloyd Grossman pasta sauce. The other three people in the checkout queue behind me shuffled forward equally uncomfortably.

Think I may start shopping elsewhere to save my blushes.
