FLIGHT IN THE FOG

It's very bad of me to use this picture rather than Himself's shots of the landslide. I saw this out of the window. When I put it onto the computer I discovered it had birds in it. I've never been able to get a shot of any bird of any kind except for the geese and ducks at the river. There are better ones of the mist and the trees but the birds are not in them.

In the true spirit of blip, I should have used the ones Himself took. If he could take pictures like these every day he would be an avid blipper. We have hundreds of pictures documenting building, almost all of them of earth works and holes in the ground. We have so many that even he can't identify which hole some of them are, exactly.

Yesterday, however, on our way out there were several big rocks in the road. We should have known. On the way back, the hillside and trees came down right behind us. This morning the scavatore (digger), the builder and others arrived. Here are two of the pictures. We won't get out today. The loose rocks and leaning trees will have to be pulled down as well before the road is safe. There is great neighbourhood excitement over the event.

For the record: So much for the sun, it is gone again. It isn't cold, +9 C.
