Or pasties... I was bored today and as I had some shortcrust pastry for pies and some filling I decided to make some of these for myself.
The filling is a pheasant, chorizo and chickpea. I smoked half the pheasant and didn't the other half so the flavour is not too strong. Then I bound it with a red wine reduction and some flour. Anyway, it came out a lot nicer than I thought it would be and it has a Spanish taste to it due to the chorizo, paprika and red wine. The herb on top is a 'fins herbs' which is a combination of parsley, chives, chervil and tarragon.
