Who's perch is it anyway?

I had a free hour or so in London this afternoon and it was a real treat to just watch the crowds around Trafalgar Square ... I don't know who this statute is of but he obviously makes a great perch for the resident pidgeons.

Ed - just learnt that the statute is of 1st Viscount Cummingham of Hyndhope, 1883 - 1963, who was Admiral of the Fleet.
