peggy read alice's adventures in wonderland for ages tonight. she's only four, and can't read...but likes to pretend like beth. they're very alike, I suspect she'll be a wee bookworm like her big sister.

and poor daisy was sent home from school today with a croaky sore throat, a headache and a sore arm (?!). I suspect at least the last ailment was made up...

but the main news of the day is that dougal is once again missing in action...nearly 24 hours now and I've just caught another cat in the kitchen eating his food - cheek. I'm hoping to wake up tomorrow and see him nose to nose with b purring in his face as usual. fingers crossed the ginger ninja will return...
