Devils Alley, Kings Lynn.

It is a grey, dull and windy day here and inspiration for my Blip was hard to find during my brief walk this morning.
It is said that the mark of the devil's hoofprint can be seen in Devil's alley. According to an old folk tale, the devil arrived in Lynn by ship and went ashore to gather some souls. A local priest followed him to this alley, and used prayers and holy water to drive the devil away. The devil was so annoyed at being foiled in his plan that he stamped his foot hard on the ground before going back to his ship, and the imprint can still be seen, although I have never managed to find it.

Enjoy your Saturday.
