not seeing straight

We have a baby staying which means old toys of Tom's have been pulled from the bottom of the cupboard and the backs of shelves. This wooden put-the-pieces-in-and-watch-them-roll-down-zig-zag-style (what is its proper name - surely it has one) is a faithful stand-by for younger children and, if truth be told, captures the focus of the parents too.

Conversations stop, eyes slide back and forth with the pieces and dads, always dads, try to see how quickly they can get all the pieces in and rolling.

It also has the sturdy and aesthetic worthiness that makes you feel you've got the 'right' kind of toy.

Happy weekend...
