Poolburn Evening

Day 3 - Moa Creek Area - very very hot today.

Today we were taken into Bonspiel Station to view and photograph many old schist rock and mud-brick miners cottages, dating to 1850's during the gold rush era. They have been well maintained and now available to tourists for overnight stays.
Later on the blokes went to watch commercial gold mining on the property, the 'chicks' walked to an old cemetery placed on a hill top, very interesting.
In the evening we went back up the Old Dunstan Trail to the Poolburn Dam to photograph the area & hopefully for a sunset. My choice is just before sunset, strong saturated colours of a Spaniards in flower, a very leather plant with sharp spikes....they grow well in this harsh environment.

PS - that's the moon centre third of the image!!
