Sunday 16 January 2011: I, eye
Here's my eye (and my pores, lines and stray eyebrows!) the day after the surgery!
Over the next couple of weeks it will return to normal as the stitches dissolve and in a few months I'll have a prosthetic iris contact lens that will cut out glare and give the appearance of a normal eye. I will never regain my sight in that eye, but can still drive, photograph... and who knows, I might even be able to turn out a decent essay in the fullness of time!
